American Dream Mall Sued Yet Again by Manhattan Family

Mall

American Dream Mall has certainly seen its fair share of injury lawsuits over the years, and the mall’s legal issues continue to mount. Recently, a Manhattan family has decided to file yet another lawsuit against the mall after a girl was severely injured while visiting the Nickelodeon Universe theme park. New questions have been raised about safety standards at the mall and its various attractions. But what can you do if you have been injured at a mall in Manhattan?

Girl’s Teeth Knocked Out at Nickelodeon Universe

On July 31st, it was reported that parents in Manhattan were suing American Dream mall on behalf of their injured child, who lost two teeth in an accident at Nickelodeon Universe. They claim that the mall should have done more to prevent this girl’s injury. They have also named Chance Rides Manufacturing – the company that manufactured the ride. The injury apparently occurred when the child approached the end of the ride.

As the car approached the exit area, it “suddenly and violently” jerked forward, causing the girl to suffer a whiplash-like effect. This caused her face to move forward, and she struck her mouth on the hard plastic of the car. The car then came to a full stop, and the child realized that two front teeth had been knocked out. She was apparently visibly stunned by the accident and had to be transported by wheelchair to a nearby ambulance. She was also placed in a neck brace.

As a result of the accident, the child had to undergo various mental procedures, including orthodontic operations. She has suffered dental and facial injuries, and the ongoing costs of treating the damage is apparently uncertain. In addition, the girl has developed anxiety as a result of the incident and is now attending psychological counseling. In order to address these damages, the parents have decided to sue.

The parents argue that the ride’s braking system is faulty, and that they were given no warning about the sudden, jerking movements that they experienced. In addition, they point out that restraints were limited, and that the only thing stopping riders from jerking forwards was a bar. They argue that this bar restraint failed to protect their daughter from head injuries.

This is not the first time American Dream mall has been sued, and it probably won’t be the last. This year, they were ordered to pay various damages for debts and injuries. In June, a man sued for a broken leg that he sustained at the Water Park.
