Medical Expenses After a Car Accident

Medical Billing Statement

Who pays for your medical expenses after you’ve been in a car accident?

NY is a “no-fault” state with no-fault insurance laws. That means that no matter who is responsible for the car accident, you are covered for up to $50,000 in medical benefits and lost wages (to an extent). This includes hospital visit(s), physical therapy and any subsequent treatment or surgeries you undergo after the accident. No fault will also cover up to 80% of your lost wages if you have to miss work after an accident.
